Wide fluctuations in humidity will cause the wood to expand or shrink, which puts stress on the instrument and degrades its performance abilities.

Instructions

1. Remove the plastic wrapper from one of the packs. (Do not open the Boveda itself.)
2. Insert one unwrapped Boveda into the pouch of its protective fabric holder.
3. Place in the case anywhere that allows for airflow and prevents puncture when you close the case:
   - Under the neck or headstock
   - On the strings
   - Open area in the case
4. Close the case's lid. Always keep your case closed when using Boveda. 

ACCURACY:
Achieves and maintains a constant relative humidity (RH) range between 45% and 55%.

INGREDIENTS:
Food-grade salt, purified water and a food-grade thickening agent sealed inside a leakproof membrane.

Boveda is expired if:

The entire pack feels rock solid all the way through

Always insert Boveda into a pouch of a Boveda fabric holder before placing in an instrument case. The fabric holder allows Boveda to last longer and work better and acts as a liquid barrier if a packet is accidentally punctured. 

Do not mix different Boveda RH levels within the same instrument case. And do not use Boveda in the same case with other humidification products because they will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of Boveda.

Boveda will last 2-6 months depending on the time of year, your climate and your case.

No need to open your instrument case to see the humidity/temperature readings. You can view the information on your iPhone.

Application and instructions

Once you have downloaded the App, place the sensor on the iPhone screen and press the + sign on the upper right corner of the screen to sync with the App. Set humidity/temperature limits and your smartphone will alert you if the readings are too high or low. The App can read up to 7 sensors and has a transmission range of over 100 feet. Sensor comes with clip, so you can attach it to your instrument case.

Guitar Humidifier to sound hole

The OH-1 guitar humidifier is a soundhole humidifier designed to maintain 45-55% relative humidity inside the guitar body when the humidity outside the case is between 25-40%, provided that the guitar is already hydrated. The OH-1 is not designed to restore humidity to a dried out guitar. The OH-1 is our most popular model. Each Oasis® OH-1 comes with a stabilizer bar for mounting the humidifier and a 10 cc. syringe for distilled water filling control.

Please Read Before Filling Oasis®

Handling your new Oasis® humidifier is simple, but it helps to know a few important things before starting.

Don’t dump out the crystals
There is a very small quantity of Humigel™ crystals, a dry, super water absorbent polymer, in every humidifier (.6 ccs). In most cases, you can shake the humidifier and hear them rattle around. Some users hear the rattling, open the cap and mistakenly dump them out. If you do this, you will need to purchase a Humigel™ replacement kit.

Hold Oasis by the yellow ends
Always hold the Oasis® humidifier by the yellow or brown ends rather than the fabric in the middle. The ends are rigid plastic which supports the structure of the humidifier. The middle blue or khaki section is soft squeezable fabric where water vapor escapes. If you squeeze the center while the cap is off the humidifier, Oasis® will behave like a toothpaste tube and eject the water and crystals. If you do this, you will need to purchase a Humigel™ replacement kit.

Fill Oasis® slowly
Oasis® typically holds slightly more than one ounce of water. When filling your Oasis® for the first time, the crystals will need a few minutes to absorb the water. If you try to fill the humidifier too quickly, it is easy to put in more water than it can hold. The crystals can be washed out with too much water. So, we recommend limiting the amount of water you initially put into the humidifier to 3 full syringes (10 cc’s each) and filling the humidifier slowly, giving the crystals time to absorb the water. We strongly recommend that you only use distilled water. Tap water contains minerals which will clog the Oasis® membrane over time. Watch carefully, and stop filling when the water reaches the top. After the initial filling of your Oasis® you will need to recharge the humidifier once a week with 7-10 cc’s of distilled water.

Sometimes, Humigel™ crystals may stick near the opening of the tube making it difficult to refill the device. If this happens, first bring the humidifier back to its original shape by gently holding the two yellow ends and pulling them away from each other. Secondly, hold the bottom yellow end, and gently tap your Oasis® on a hard service. This will knock the crystals loose to fall back towards the center of the humidifier. Then, proceed with refilling.

Spread the strings
Our soundhole humidifiers are designed to be installed and removed after the user spreads the strings. Since the humidifier is wider than the strings, installing or removing it without spreading the strings will damage the fabric on the humidifier and lead to premature failure of the humidifier.
